Breathe and Reset Retreat Day

9:00 to 13:00 at Yoga at the Space in Studland 
13:30 to 14:30 Studland Sauna at Studland Beach

A half day retreat of deep rest, gentle movement and breath work.

 

A morning of slowing down, reconnecting with yourself and taking some time out for you.

 

We will spend time improving your breathing mechanics and working on slowing down the breath. Learning to slow down the breath and do more with less. 

Gentle movement to mobilise the ribs and help you breathe easier. 

Deep rest to help your nervous system regulate.

You will leave the day feeling reset and recharged.

 

 

Delicious snacks provide and tea.

 

Optional Sauna which is an additional £10 surcharge.

Early bird offer £70 - to be booked by 31st January and paid in full.

A one day in-depth immersion exploring the importance of how we breathe to support our health and wellbeing.

​

This is for you

  • If you would like to improve your breathing functionality, to sleep better and improve general health,

  • If you are often experience overwhelm and would like to have the tools to help you deal with life’s everyday stresses.

  • If you are a yoga practitioner interested in understanding more about different pranayama practices and to support your own practice.

  • Or if you simply want to breathe and move better.

 

What to expect

We will take an in-depth look at functional breathing and breathing practices

  • The bio-mechanics of breathing, including understanding the role of that different parts of our body plays - diaphragm, pelvic floor, rib cage, tongue

  • How simple movement and somatic practices can support good functional breathing mechanics

  • The bio-chemistry of breathing and how different practices and techniques work.

  • The effect of different breath awareness and pranayama practices on our nervous system

  • Using breathing practices to support you at different stages of life, including (for women) peri-menopause and menopause

  • The intersection and differences between pranayama, breath awareness and other breathing practices

We will explore tips to

  • help Improve your energy and sleep quality

  • Help you recover faster

  • Help you calm your mind

The day will include lots of practical elements

  • Exercises to bring awareness to your diaphragm, pelvic floor and rib cage to support good functional breathing bio-mechanics.

  • Movement, including somatic practices, to bring awareness to your breath and support you to breathe with ease.

  • Simple guided breathing, breath awareness and pranayama practices to allow you to understand the different effects of these.

     

The day is open to anyone over 18 years of age. You don’t need to have had any previous experience of breathing practices.

Limited to a small group of 8 people maximum, to allow for plenty of individual attention,
